Week in Review & Pretty Pintastic Party #163
Happy 4th of July Weekend & TGIF! I hope everyone had an amazing week and is ready for the weekend! We’re back with another weekly Pretty Pintastic Party, but first let’s sneak a peek of the week – in the rearview mirror of This Scattered Life.
This week we have slowed our pace a bit and stayed pretty close to home. Checking out where Jeff setup the hammock turned into a 2 hour hike up the mountain. We got a lot done around the yard and managed to eat all our meals at home this week, (Jeff and I that is).
We also checked out the RAPIDGRASS BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL in Idaho Springs. There were lots of great bands, local vendors, and people of all ages dancing, playing and picnicking.
We packed a solid picnic of smoked salmon, crackers, spinach dip, fruit & veggies, but the vendors were too enticing and Zach caved. But who could blame him? The aroma alone coming from the Golden based Rolling Dough food truck was practically torture!
Sarah had just unpacked the salmon when I spotted Zach next to Rolling Dough inhaling his Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Pizza. I practically jumped over festival-goers in my quest to claim a piece of that pie. SO-WORTH-IT (at least I didn’t knock over any little kids or people on crutches).
We also enjoyed adult beverages from Tommyknocker Brewery, Stem Ciders and Redstone Meadery. No matter your preference, there was something to tantalize every taste bud at RAPIDGRASS. There were also tents set up for professional massages, small-batch ice cream, gyros and local artists. Sarah purchased a gorgeous necklace from Kind Mountain Collective and Erin got some earrings.
Fun time and we will be back next year. Hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer so we can indulge in Peaceful Creations. I loved their truck and the ice cream options were incredible.
