Week in Review & Pretty Pintastic Party #153

TGIF! I hope everyone had an amazing week and is ready for the weekend! We’re back with another weekly Pretty Pintastic Party, but first let’s sneak a peek of the week – in the rearview mirror of This Scattered Life.

We had our first mountain home Easter celebration last weekend. I had fun filling plastic eggs with the usual: coupons for lunches, beers and hot springs admissions, candy and quarters. There were also a few duds: pennies, a “nothing here – move along” note and a coupon from EB’s evil twin good for one free fart. Egg hunts for adult kids are a blast.

One thing I learned is that I need to start training NOW for next year’s Easter Bunny duties! I hid eggs in the “backyard” on 3 different levels. By the time I jogged up the mountain and down to the creek, depositing bright-colored plastic into various nooks and crannies, this bunny’s batteries needed to be charged.

Thankfully, all the eggs were found and there were no real injuries. I’m already planning for next year when THE HUNT will be bigger and better. Maybe some actual trails and stairs might come in handy. And a minimum shoe tread requirement enforced.

We also had an Easter morning hike starting right out the back door. This definitely needs to be an annual event. The snow was pretty deep in some areas. Maybe by mid-summer it will all be melted?? Oh well, it sure helped work up some appetites.
