Let Wonderland Brewing Turn Your Frown Upside Down
Looking for a Colorado brewery with plenty to do while you enjoy wonderful craft beers? Well, welcome to Wonderland! This Broomfield brewery has 2 outdoor seating areas with the usual yard games and space for restless kids to play.
But the games aren’t dependent upon the weather – there are ping-pong tables and arcade games inside the brewery as well.
Memories of the first bar I ever went to came flooding back when I saw the game area. My friends had all been looking forward to dancing, but I was totally geeked that there was a Centipede game in the corner. Cocktails and Centipede – does it get any better??
Ah, but our visit to Wonderland was for a retirement party and everyone was outside on that gorgeous late afternoon in May. It wasn’t easy, but I did resist the urge to abandon the party and hang out by myself sipping craft beer and feeding quarters to the metal giant.
We will have to go back to Wonderland another time for the gaming, but that will definitely not be a hardship. Have you had a chance to taste the beers there? We ordered a flight and between that and what our friends ordered, I believe we tasted everything they had on tap that day.
|All of the beers were really good. There were not any that we didn’t like, which is rare with such a wide variety. What is even more rare is that Jeff and I both had the same hands-down favorite. The Blood Orange Shandy Time at Wonderland is currently my all-time favorite.|
#1 Blood Orange Shandy Time: 6.3% ABV- 19 IBU – 16.5 OG
Two words- Orange Creamsicle! This fruity, tangy, zingy brew is refreshing beyond belief and bursts with flavor. Created with fresh oranges and lemons, this sensitive brew is sure to be a new favorite.
There was even a girl at our table that wasn’t partaking because she said she only likes wine and cocktails. I convinced her to try the Blood Orange and she liked it enough that she bought a pint. One more frown turned upside down. Well done Wonderland. Well done indeed.
